No hose, no bucket, no wash bay? A waterless wash refreshes a lightly dirty car in the garage or on the go. And after a regular wash, the right drying technique prevents water spots. This guide covers both.
When a waterless wash makes sense
- Light dirt: dust, pollen, fingerprints
- Between two regular washes
- Garage, showroom or on the road
Not suitable for heavy dirt, sand or mud – remove those with water first, otherwise you rub particles across the paint.
Waterless wash step by step
- Shake 7WASH Wash & Wax Waterless and spray section by section onto the surface.
- Wipe gently in straight lines with a folded, clean microfiber cloth – no pressure, no circles.
- Turn to a clean side of the cloth as soon as one gets dirty.
- Buff with a second dry cloth for a streak-free shine. No rinsing needed.
Drying after a regular wash
If you wash with water, dry immediately – letting the car air-dry leaves mineral spots. Lay a large Microfiber Drying Towel 60×90 cm flat on the panel and pull it towards you instead of rubbing. Work top to bottom and finish mirrors and door shuts with a smaller cloth.
Tips
- Never reuse a cloth that has touched the ground.
- Wash microfiber without fabric softener.
- For extra gloss and protection afterwards, see the Car Care Kit with Wash & Wax, 3D-Protector and Hydro Slick.
