Car Interior Cleaning: The Right Order for Dashboard, Seats and Glass

Interior cleaning goes faster and looks better when you follow a fixed order: top to bottom, dry before wet, glass last. Otherwise you end up cleaning the windows twice.

Tools

  • Vacuum cleaner with a crevice tool
  • Interior cleaner, glass cleaner and microfiber cloths – all included in the 7WASH Interior Cleaning Kit

The order that works

  1. Empty the car and take out the floor mats.
  2. Dust and vacuum from top to bottom: vents and dashboard edges, seats, then carpets. Clean the mats outside the car.
  3. Dashboard, plastics and trim: spray 7WASH Interior Cleaner onto a cloth or the surface, wipe evenly, let it dwell briefly on heavier dirt, then wipe with a dry cloth. It is made for plastic, fabric, leather and vinyl and leaves no artificial shine.
  4. Seats: work in sections with little product; don't soak fabric or leather.
  5. Glass last: apply 7WASH Glass Cleaner to a separate cloth and clean windows, mirrors and screens.
  6. Finish: use the air freshener sparingly if you like.

Pro tips

  • Keep one cloth for cleaner and one only for glass.
  • Spray onto the cloth, not directly onto screens or piano-black trim.
  • Wash microfiber without fabric softener so it stays absorbent.
  • Test on a hidden spot first on delicate materials.

The cleaners may cause skin and eye irritation – follow the safety notes on each product page.
